Curriculum Developer

bina is growing, and we are looking for a Curriculum Developer. Could it be you?

bina is an edtech startup headquartered in Berlin. We are a digital education ecosystem offering live, comprehensive, personalized education for 4–12 year-olds from across the globe, at scale. After receiving an initial grant from the EU, our pre-seed round is led by Taizo Son at Mistletoe, and joined by superstars from education, blockchain, and international retail.

How it works

We build a cohesive educational experience by curation and integration of ed-tech tooling, research and content. The front end is a sleek, intuitive schooling experience for students, educators and families. The back end is a cross-platform data analysis for deep insights to understanding our students and educators' development. With it, we offer valuable real-time feedback and hyper-adaptive learning paths. We call it "Precision Education."

As bina's curriculum developer, you will design and oversee a comprehensive program delivered digitally (and in boxes!). You will collaborate and incorporate the latest and greatest tools, applications and educational content. Our educators and product developers will work closely with you. Together, you will design data-driven, ever-adaptive, synchronous educational experiences for students and teachers.

  • Develop K-5 curriculum for The bina School. The framework, units, and significant assessments will be suitable for online, synchronous learning, and it will be flexible to feedback and results.

  • Support teachers as they develop learning objectives, design lessons, select apps and materials, and assess student progress.

  • Contribute to planning, organizing, and facilitating teacher training.

  • Facilitate workshops with teachers and learners to incorporate feedback.

  • Hypothesize and test digital learning techniques.

  • Work alongside our product team to ensure that the educational goals and the measurements are tracked and analyzed.

  • As a key member of our education team, participate in strategic planning, program development, and teacher hiring and support.

What it's like at bina:

  • All the expected goodies of an early age startup.

  • A mission-driven company.

  • Transparent and friendly company culture.

  • Flexible work schedule - compatible with Central European work hours.

  • Remote-first company though we are keen to talk to the right candidate about relocation to Berlin.

Here's what we need:

  • You are passionate about education and, sorry to say, are a realist-idealist.

  • You hold a Master's degree in education-related studies (PhD is a plus).

  • You have expertise in designing and implementing K-5 (primary school) curriculum across various subjects (STEM, Literacy, Art, Music, etc.).

  • You have a global mindset and are interculturally literate. Experience working in different countries is a brownie point.

  • You have experience integrating different subjects under one thematic umbrella.

  • You know what it takes to make digital learning exciting for kids (especially 4-6-year-olds).

  • You are excited about using technology to enhance teaching and learning and are well-versed in ed-tech.

  • You must be fluent in English. Foreign language knowledge is a plus.

  • You have a mindset that reflects the values of bina (we are woke).
