Marketing and social media intern

We are a "diversity first" company.

Let's grow together

Full-time / Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin

bina is a digital primary school methodology made to deliver precision education at scale.

We are an education start-up from Berlin created in 2019, backed by Silicon Allee. Our co-founders are serial entrepreneurs with years of experience in tech, business and, most importantly, education. We are working towards a world where no child goes without quality education, and no parent has to choose between career and family.

Job description

We are on the lookout for someone enthusiastic, hardworking, kind and fun to be around! We are looking for someone digitally native; you spend a lot of time online and you “get” social media and all of it’s trends.

You will be a part of a small team working to amplify the voice and message of bina and help change the future of education. You will be listened to, valued and everything you do will further our early-age startup!

What do we offer?

  •  The perks of an early-stage start-up: be a part of a mission-driven company reshaping early education. Learning the ins and outs of starting from the ground up!

  • A decisive role: you are part of our pioneer team and get to build new markets from day one.

  • An international organisation: as a team of different nationalities, we value the synergy of different cultures, personalities, and backgrounds.

  • Room for growth: we take a personal interest in your perspectives and development, so every employee has realistic career development options within the company.

Responsibilities:

Help us organically build a brand, drive awareness and recruit first users with a limited marketing budget (we are pre-seed). We want to build credibility with families. We want to inspire teachers to join us. We want to convince businesses they need to offer bina as a company benefit.

  • Researching top influencers within our target market, and approaching them about creating joint campaigns

  • Developing strategies to create content and target our messaging to grow our follower numbers across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and Tiktok

  • Researching local in-person events/conferences in Berlin & Germany (for times when this is possible)

  • Researching worldwide online events/conferences related to our field

Your qualifications:

  • Very high level of written English (spoken English is needed, but it isn’t as important as excellent written English)

  • Experience in design, especially for social media

  • Highly experienced in Instagram with a strong understanding of how Influencer marketing works

  • Finger on the pulse of current social media trends, emerging platforms, and a wide variety of apps

  • Motivated, friendly, and approachable

  • Interest in data-driven marketing

  • Berlin-based is ideal - Post lockdown we would love to work closely together!

Bonus bonus! We’d love to hear from you if you…

  • You have a personal brand with a sizable social media following (with links please!)

  • You are creative and interested in making visual content

Initial contract length: 3 months

If you are interested in this position, please send your CV and cover letter to hello@thebinaschool.com

While we want to hear about what you have done (CV), we would love to hear more about who you are and why you're interested in this job (cover letter).
