Language Teacher (Part-time)

As we build bina's language program from the ground up, we need a Language Teacher who can bring a language to life for students across the globe. Key responsibilities

  • Deliver live language instruction to assigned sections (45 minutes, twice weekly per section) across the agreed time zone(s), maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Plan and sequence instruction against the standards, unit structure, and skeleton plans supplied by the Learning Design team, adapting them for your language.
  • Build lesson slides in bina-approved Genially templates (content ownership assigned to bina); source or adapt supplementary handouts and worksheets freely.
  • Assess student progress against standards and report on learning progress by the published reporting deadlines.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with families, the Academic Programs Lead, homeroom teachers, and Family Success on attendance, progress, and student concerns.
  • Complete all required onboarding, safeguarding, and platform training, and comply with bina's safeguarding, child protection, and acceptable-use policies.
  • Take on ad-hoc responsibilities in support of school operations and family experience as needed, including occasional cover for language sessions.

You'll be a great fit if you have…

  • Native-level proficiency (C2) in the target language and proficiency in English (C1 or above).
  • Prior experience teaching the language to children or young people.
  • Reliable internet, a quiet teaching space, and comfort teaching live online.
  • Willingness to build lesson slides in our templates and assign that content to bina.
  • Ability to clear a background check and complete safeguarding training.

Nice to have

  • Official teaching license or formal certification in the target language.
  • Existing lesson materials you can adapt.
  • Experience with online or international schools.
  • Availability in more than one time zone.

  • Compensation: USD 25 per hour, up to 10 hours per week (typically 4–8 hours of live teaching plus planning and assessment).
