K-9 Learning Designer (Full-time, remote)

If so, we're looking for YOU—and trust us, we mean you specifically. At bina, we don't hire resumes. We hire people who make you think "wait, how is that even possible?" We've found unicorns before (two of them through this exact post!), and we're ready to find two more.

We are looking for applicants who can start as soon as possible. This is a full-time remote position.

What is bina?

We're creating joy and quality educational outcomes at scale. We offer a fully synchronous digital school with micro-classrooms of students from different corners of the globe, learning together with top-notch teachers. We go beyond academics, focusing on social-emotional learning and cultural and environmental awareness through biome-themed units. We're curating an intuitive educational experience by integrating Ed-tech tools, research, and content. It's a sleek schooling experience for students, educators, and families.

What Does bina's Learning Designer Do?

You'll sit at the intersection of learning science, instructional design, and learning engineering—translating bina's Adventure Approach into tangible, engaging learning experiences that kids actually want to dive into.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

1. Storyboard unit plans that bring subjects to life through adventure-based learning, grounded in learning sciences

2. Edit and refine AI-generated lesson plans with a learning science lens and sharp prompting skills, ensuring they embody bina's pedagogical voice and Adventure Approach

3. Design immersive learning experiences primarily in Genially, complete with visually stunning resources and templates that teachers can run with

4. Collaborate closely with educators and team members to incorporate feedback, ensure standards alignment, and make content accessible across different learning environments

5. Maintain design systems with consistent branding, visual standards, and efficient file and folder management

6. Use data smartly to inform design decisions—analyzing student performance data, engagement metrics, and learning outcomes to continuously improve our materials

7. Substitute teach when teachers are absent (because at bina, we're all in this together—and you'll love seeing your designs come to life in real classrooms)
